The Herb Garden, includes a beautiful stone and urbanite terraced herb garden, pathways, outdoor nutrition education center with seating and picnic areas, 2 patios with decorative columns, charming landscaping and attractively decorated gates and retaining walls. This park affords a venue for contemplation amongst the surrounding beauty of the landscaping and decorative patio areas. The pathways are lined with several varieties of lavender, which impart a lovely aroma beginning in the spring and extending into fall. There have been 2 outdoor DIG IN workshops held here under the shady trees. San Francisco Parks Trust held its Innovator Awards event here in 2009.
