Agricultural Garden

The Agriculture Garden had major improvements in 2009 with funding from a Community Challenge Grant. The Green Stewards, children from nearby schools, volunteers from the local community, the Conservation Corps and the SFRPD Volunteer Program have worked to maintain this site and enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of their labors. The adjacent daycare center attends a weekly gardening session as part of the greater Green Rangers Program. Growing seasonal crops, as well as fruit trees contribute to helping the community learn about good nutrition. Fruit trees were donated by the Friends of the Urban Forest.
